The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Utah’s Howe suspended
Utah’s Travis Howe has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #32, Idaho at Utah, on Oct. 21.
Howe is suspended under Rule #46.12 as the result of receiving a penalty for instigating in the final five minutes of regulation.
Howe will miss Utah’s game vs. Worcester on Oct. 27.
Brampton’s Fournier fined, suspended
Brampton’s Stefan Fournier has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #47, Kalamazoo at Brampton, on Oct. 22.
Fournier is suspended under Rules #70.4 and #70.10 for leaving the penalty bench to start an altercation.
Fournier will miss Brampton’s games vs. Wheeling (Oct. 27 and Oct. 29) and at Rapid City (Nov. 1, Nov. 3 and Nov. 4).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Reading’s Comrie fined, suspended
Reading’s Adam Comrie has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #853, Wheeling at Reading, on Oct. 22.
Comrie is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his major penalty and game misconduct for slashing under Rule #61.5 at 8:04 of the second period. He delivered a forceful, two-handed slash to the hand/wrist area of an opponent.
Comrie will miss Reading’s games vs. Toledo on Oct. 26 and vs. Adirondack on Oct. 29.

Allen’s Makowski fined, suspended
Allen’s David Makowski has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #45, Orlando at Allen, on Oct. 22.
Makowski is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of an unpenalized illegal check to the head of an opponent at 3:37 of the first period.
Makowski will miss Allen’s games at Tulsa (Oct. 27 and Oct.28), vs. Tulsa (Oct. 29) and vs. Utah (Nov. 1).
