ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Monday announced that Indy’s Ryan Rupert has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #139, Indy at Quad City, on Nov. 12.

Rupert was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 14:51 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Rupert will miss Indy’ games vs. Toledo (Nov. 14), vs. Kalamazoo (Nov. 17), vs. Tulsa (Nov. 18) and vs. Fort Wayne (Nov. 24).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
