ECHL announces fine, suspensions

ECHL announces fine, suspensions

The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fine and suspensions.

Toledo’s Barnes fined, suspended

Toledo’s Tyler Barnes has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #102, Kalamazoo at Toledo, on Nov. 4.

Barnes was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for slashing under Rule #61.5 at 12:21 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Barnes will miss Toledo’s game at Indy today (Nov. 5).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Allen’s Arseneau suspended

Allen’s Vincent Arseneau has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #98, Wichita at Allen, on Nov. 4

Arseneau is suspended under Rule #46.12 as the result of receiving a penalty for instigating in the final five minutes of regulation.

Arseneau will miss Allen’s game vs. Tulsa today (Nov. 5).
