The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Utah’s Howe suspended
Utah’s Travis Howe has been suspended for seven additional games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #272, Idaho at Utah, on Dec. 6.
Howe is suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions following the game.
Howe missed Utah’s games at Idaho on Dec. 8 and Dec. 9 and will miss games vs. Rapid City (Dec. 15 and Dec. 16), at Colorado (Dec. 20 and Dec. 22), vs. Colorado (Dec. 23) and vs. Idaho (Dec. 29 and Dec. 30).
Idaho’s Parizek fined, suspended
Idaho’s Justin Parizek has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #289, Utah at Idaho, on Dec. 9.
Parizek is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 2:56 of the second period.
Parizek will miss Idaho’s game vs. Rapid City on Dec. 13.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Kansas City’s Freschi fined, suspended
Kansas City’s Eric Freschi has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his acitons in ECHL Game #300, Allen at Kansas City, on Dec. 10.
Freschi was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #23.9 at 7:23 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Freshci missed Kansas City’s game vs. Allen on Dec. 11 and will miss games vs. Colorado on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17.

South Carolina’s Gillies fined, suspended
South Carolina’s Trevor Gillies has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #305, South Carolina at Atlanta, on Dec. 10.
Gillies is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 10:59 of the second period.
Gillies will miss South Carolina’s next game against Atlanta (Dec. 22 at South Carolina).
