ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Saturday announced that Kalamazoo’s Kyle Bushee has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #470, Kalamazoo at Idaho, on Jan. 12.

Bushee was assessed a major penalty for charging under Rule #42.3 at  9:50 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Bushee will miss Kalamazoo’s games at Idaho (Jan. 13) and at Quad City (Jan. 19).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
