The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Orlando’s Jardine fined, suspended
Orlando’s Sam Jardine has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #452, Orlando at Jacksonville, on Jan. 6.
Jardine was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for cross checking under Rule #59.5 at 14:15 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Jardine will miss Orlando’s game against Jacksonville today (Jan. 7).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Greenville’s Cameron fined, suspended
Greenville’s Bretton Cameron has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #451, Atlanta at Greenville, on Jan. 6.
Cameron is fined and suspende under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of a high-sticking infraction at 0:33 of the first period.
Cameron will miss Greenville’s games against Norfolk (Jan. 6), at Jacksonville (Jan. 10) and vs. Orlando (Jan. 12).
