ECHL announces fines

The ECHL on Saturday announced that Idaho’s Steven McParland, Justin Parizek and Corbin Baldwin have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions in ECHL Game #589, Utah at Idaho, on Feb. 2.

All three players are fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of slew foot infractions during the course of the game. The ECHL is taking a heightened awareness of these violations and is cracking down on players using their legs to finish checks.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
