ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Quad City’s Triston Grant has been suspended for 14 games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #775, Fort Wayne at Quad City, on March 4.

Grant was assessed a match penalty for fighting under Rule #46.15 at 12:41 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Grant will miss the remaining 14 games on Quad City’s schedule for the 2017-18 regular season.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
