The ECHL on Saturday announced that Rapid City’s Garrett Klotz has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #946, Rapid City at Tulsa, on April 6.
Klotz is fined and suspended under Rule #70.6 as a result of his actions at 16:45 of the second period.
Klotz will miss Rapid City’s game at Tulsa tonight (April 7) as well as the next four games for which he is on an active ECHL roster.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
