ECHL announces fines, suspensions

The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions resulting from ECHL Game #930, South Carolina at Jacksonville, on March 31.

Jacksonville’s Josh Erickson has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of a slashing infraction at 10:00 of the third period.

Erickson will miss Jacksonville’s games vs. Florida on April 5 and April 6 and at Florida on April 7.

South Carolina’s Marcus Perrier has been suspended for eight games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of a spearing incident and a game misconduct for Physical Abuse of Official under Rule #40.3 at 10:00 of the third period.

Perrier will miss South Carolina’s game vs. Florida (April 3) at Greenville (April 5 and April 6), vs. Orlando (April 7), as well as South Carolina’s first four playoff games.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
