Walleye move on to Central Division Finals

The Toledo Walleye advanced to the Central Division Finals in the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Thursday with a 3-2 double overtime win at Indy in Game 4 of their Central Division Semifinals series.

Toledo awaits the winner of Fort Wayne/Cincinnati in the second round. The Komets lead that series 2 games to 1 with Game 4 set for Saturday at Cincinnati.

Christian Hilbrich scored the game-winning goal 7:46 into the second overtime period. Both goaltenders made spectacular saves throughout the night with Toledos Pat Nagle turning aside 43 shots and Indy's Etienne Marcoux making 56 stops.

Hilbrich led Toledo in the series with five goals while Tyler Barnes had a team-leading eight points (1g-7a).

Indy was led by Nathan Noel (2g-1a) and Ryan Rupert (1g-2a) with three points each.
