Eagles defeat Steelheads, advance to Western Conference Finals

Eagles defeat Steelheads, advance to Western Conference Finals

The Colorado Eagles became the first team to advance to the Conference Finals of the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Thursday with a 1-0 overtime win over the Idaho Steelheads in Game 4 of the Mountain Division Finals.

Drayson Bowman scored the only goal of the contest at 13:32 into the extra period. Joe Cannata made 47 saves to help the Eagles secure the victory, and their return to the Western Conference Finals.

Philippe Desrosiers had 34 saves for the Steelheads in Game 4.  Max French led all Idaho skaters with 10 points (5G, 5A) in the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The defending Kelly Cup champions await the winner of the Central Division Finals between Toledo and Fort Wayne. The Walleye lead that series 2 games to 1.
