Americans re-sign veteran Pierro-Zabotel

Allen. Texas – The Allen Americans announced that the club has signed forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel to a contract for the 2018-19 season.

Pierro-Zabotel returned to Allen last season after a year in Colorado and led the Americans in scoring with 69 points in 72 games. He was second overall in the league with 50 assists and finished third on the team in plus/minus with a +19.

A third-round selection (80th overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Pierro-Zabotel will begin his 10th season as a pro this October. His best numbers came two seasons ago with Colorado, where he tallied 88 points and finished runner-up for league MVP to the Americans’ Chad Costello.

Pierro-Zabotel enters the 2018-19 season 12th in ECHL history with 353 assists in 550 career games.
