Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, signed two-time Kelly Cup champion Chris Crane for the 2018-19 season.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Crane joins the Admirals after spending the last two seasons with South Division foe Orlando. Last season with the Solar Bears he netted 25 points (12g-13a) in 32 games. Despite appearing in less than half his teams’ games, Crane ranked in the top 10 in both goals and points.
Prior to joining the Solar Bears, Crane captured the Kelly Cup in back-to-back seasons with the Allen Americans (2015 and 2016). During the 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs he finished fourth on the team in scoring with 20 points (10g-10a). During his career Crane has skated in 240 ECHL games with Orlando, Allen, Missouri, San Francisco and Ontario.
A seventh-round selection (200th overall) of the San Jose Sharks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Crane made his professional debut with the American Hockey League's Worcester Sharks at the end of the 2012-13 season after concluding a three-year collegiate career at Ohio State University. Crane also played two seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League, winning the Clark Cup championship in 2010.
