A&R Sports named “Official Hockey Accessory Partner of the ECHL”

The ECHL announced on Wednesday that A&R Sports has been named the “Official Hockey Accessory Partner of the ECHL” beginning with the 2018-19 Season.

As part of the agreement, ECHL Teams will have access to a wide variety of products including player and coaching accessories, equipment repair and on-ice training.

“We are pleased to partner with A&R Sports, a company with 25 years experience in the hockey accessory business, to provide our League Equipment Managers access to the wide assortment of products they need to keep the players equipment game ready,” said ECHL Chief Operating Officer Ryan Crelin. “The customer service, pricing and product inventory that A&R offers makes this partnership a great fit for the ECHL.”

Began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 27 teams in 20 states and two Canadian provinces for its 31st season in 2018-19. There have been who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL, including 18 who made their NHL debuts in the 2017-18 season. The ECHL had affiliations with 26 of the 31 NHL teams in 2017-18, marking the 21st consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
