Toledo, Ohio – Defenseman Kevin Lohan has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2018-19 season.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Lohan collected three assists in six games for the Walleye after completing his college career as a grad student this past year at Boston College. He tallied eight points (2g-6a), had 10 penalty minutes and was a +14 in 22 games with the Eagles. Prior to that, the Cold Spring Harbor, New York native spent four years at the University of Michigan, appearing in 64 games with 11 points (2g-9a) and 34 penalty minutes.
The 24-year-old received a medical redshirt for the 2015-16 season when he skated in just two games for Michigan allowing him to play a grad year at Boston College. He finished his college career with a total of 86 games with 19 points (4g-15a), 44 penalty minutes and a +31 rating. Prior to his collegiate career, Lohan appeared in 54 games with the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League posting 23 points (5g-18a) with 26 penalty minutes.
