RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush announced that forwards Cedric Montminity and Robert Lepine have joined the Rush for the 2018-19 ECHL season.
Montminy comes to the Rush after playing in Germany’s third division with EHC Timmendorfer Strand 06. Last season, he recorded 59 points (23g-36a) in 43 games. A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Montminy played his first season pro in France in the third division with Chambery, and registered 38 points (17g-21a) in 18 games, along with an additional nine points (7g-2a) in five playoff games. He also played in 19 games with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2014-15.
Lepine comes to the Rush after completing his first full season of professional hockey, split between the Souther Professional Hockey Leauge’s Pensacola Ice Flyers and Elite Ice Hockey League’s Braehead Clan. He earned 22 points (6g-16a) in 26 games with Penscola, then jumped across the pond and tabulated 14 points (5g-9a) in 22 games with the Clan. Prior to last season, the Killaloe, Ontario native played three games in the ECHL with the Elmira Jackals following a four-year career with the University of Guelph, where he compiled 48 career points (24g-24a) in 59 games.
