Schedule announced for ECHL.TV Showcase Game on Facebook Watch

The ECHL is pleased to announce the 2018-19 schedule for the ECHL.TV Showcase Game for the upcoming season, airing on Facebook Watch, and giving fans the opportunity to see all 27 ECHL teams in action through the ECHL.TV platform live on Facebook. The first broadcast for the 2018-19 season is the first game on the ECHL schedule, as the expansion Newfoundland Growlers host the Florida Everblades on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. NT. Fans can add these broadcasts to their Watchlists by following the ECHL Facebook Page.

“As we enter year two of the ECHL Showcase Game we look forward to being able to allow our fans to experience the ECHL.TV product and a game with each of our 27 teams over the course of the season,” said ECHL Commissioner Ryan Crelin. “With all ECHL.TV games airing in high definition, and the interaction of the Facebook Watch platform, it is a great way to experience ECHL action.”

The ECHL.TV Showcase Game will feature 14 scheduled games of the 2018-19 Regular Season on select Friday nights (and one Saturday) to allow fans nationwide to catch each ECHL team in action over the course of the season on the ECHL.TV service. About the ECHL

Began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 27 teams in 20 states and two Canadian provinces for its 31st season in 2018-19. There have been 641 players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL, including 18 who made their NHL debuts in the 2017-18 season. The ECHL had affiliations with 26 of the 31 NHL teams in 2018-19, marking the 22nd consecutive season that the league has affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
