Atlanta Gladiators

After moving to Gwinnett County, GA in 2003, the Gladiators have been a fixture in the Metro-Atlanta professional sports landscape ever since. The Gladiators are entering their 16th season at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, GA and are the longest tenured Atlanta professional hockey team in the area’s history. Atlanta saw early success as an organization reaching at least the Conference Semifinals in each of their first three seasons. In year three, the team then known as the Gwinnett Gladiators, won the American Conference Championship en route to the franchise’s only Kelly Cup Finals appearance in 2006. The team would ultimately fall to the Alaska Aces  four games to one. On September 9, 2015, the Gladiators organization announced that they would be known as the Atlanta Gladiators to expand their brand to include the entire Atlanta metropolitan region as opposed to just the greater Gwinnett County area. Atlanta has brought back Jeff Pyle, the franchise’s all-time leader in wins, for the 2018-19 season as Head Coach, to try and bring the team back to the successes of the past.
