Steelheads agree to terms with Roy

BOISE, Idaho –Forward Marc-Olivier Roy has agreed to terms with the Idaho Steelheadsfor the 2019-20 season.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.

Roy, 24, played 29 games with the Fort Wayne Komets in 2018-19, tallying 26 points (12g-14a). The Boisbriand, Quebec native also posted two points in 22 games with the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves and Laval Rocket.

In 89 career ECHL games between Fort Wayne, Alaska and Norfolk, he owns 81 points (31g-50a).

Prior to his professional career, Roy played five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, totaling 192 points (86g-106a) through 229 games between Quebec, Blainville-Boisbriand and Montreal. Roy was selected in the second round (56th overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
