Kaskisuo makes NHL debut

Kaskisuo makes NHL debut

Former Orlando Solar Bears' goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo became the 666th former ECHL player to reach the NHL when he debuted with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday at Pittsburgh.

Kaskisuo is the fourth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2019-20 season. He appeared in 34 games with Orlando during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, posting an overall record of 15-12-5 with one shutout, a 3.48 goals-against average and a save percenetage of .898.

The 26-year-old has seen action in 76 career American Hockey League games with Toronto where he is 38-24-9 with eight shutouts, a 2.54 goals-against average and a save percentage of .911.
