Fuel bring back Foget

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have re-signed forward Mathieu Foget to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Foget, 23, returns to the Fuel after he spent the was acquired in a trade in late January. Skating in 21 games for the Fuel, Foget earned 17 points (3g-14a), giving him a total of 26 points (5g-21a) during the 2019-20 season. The third-year forward has appeared in 110 ECHL games tallying 76 points (27g-49a). 

A native of Orleans, Ontario, Foget signed his first professional contract with the Allen Americans after spending the majority of the 2017-18 season with the Ottawa 67s and Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League) Through 100 OHL games, Foget earned 84 points (24g-60a). Prior to his time in the OHL, the spent two years at Merrimack College where he played 47 games and earned 16 points (6g-10a).
