Icemen bring back Shiplo, Martin

Icemen bring back Shiplo, Martin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Icemen, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Winnipeg Jets and American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Luke Shiplo and forward Craig Martin for the 2020-21 season. 

Shiplo returns to the Icemen for his second pro season. He was acquired in a trade with the Wichita Thunder on Dec. 9 and totaled 26 points (4g-22a) between the two teams. The 25-year-old recorded 29 points (13g-16a) in 113 games during his four-year career at Quinnipiac University from 2015-19.   

Martin returns to the Icemen after collecting 23 points (8g-15a) during his rookie season split between Jacksonville and the Adirondack Thunder during the 2019-20 season.  The 25-year-old totaled 75 points (27g-48a) in 134 games during his four collegiate seasons at Quinnipiac University from 2015-19.
