Malone inks deal with Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have signed forward Seamus Malone to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Malone skated in 35 games last season for the AHL’s Utica Comets, earning five points (4g-1a). Assigned to the Kalamazoo Wings in early February, Malone registered three points (1g-2a) in three games before being recalled. Entering his second professional season, the  24-year-old has skated in 41 AHL contests earning eight points (7g-1a). 

Prior to turning pro, Malone spent four years at the University of Wisconsin where he played in 143 career games, tallying 104 points (33g-71a). Serving as the Badgers’ alternate captain during his senior year, Malone finished tied for first in points with eight goals and 18 assists in 37 games.
