Johansson makes NHL debut

Former Cincinnati Cyclones' goaltender Jonas Johansson became the 674th former ECHL player to reach the NHL when he debuted with the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche.

Johansson is the 12th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2019-20 season. He appeared in 54 games with the Cyclones from 2017-19, going 32-16-4 with three shutouts, 2.86 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.

The 24-year-old has seen action in 39 career American Hockey League games with Rochester where he is 24-10-4 with two shutouts, a 2.61 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.
