Jeannot makes NHL debut

Former Florida Everblades' forward Tanner Jeannot became the 688th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Nashville Predators against Carolina on Tuesday.

Jeannot is the 10th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2020-21 season. He posted five points (4g-1a) in three games with the Everblades last season before adding six points (3g-3a) in five games to start this season. He joins Cole Smith, who also started this season with Florida before debuting with Nashville on Jan. 14, as players to play in both the ECHL and NHL this season.

A native of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Jeannot has posted 39 points (15g-24a) in 100 career American Hockey League games with Chicago and Milwaukee.
