Cuglietta returns to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS –The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have re-signed forward Diego Cuglietta to a contract for the 2021-22 season.

Cuglietta, 26, returns to Indy after splitting the 2020-21 season between the Fuel and Utah Grizzlies. Skating in a total of 49 games last season, he tallied 30 points (11g-19a). Entering his third pro season Cuglietta has played in 27 AHL games earning five points (2g-3a). 

Prior to turning pro, Cuglietta played four seasons for Lake Superior State University. Appearing in a total of 147 NCAA games, the native of Kamloops, British Columbia registered 100 points (50g-50a) and had 77 penalty minutes.
