Butcher inks deal with Rush

RAPID CITY, S.D. –The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes, announced that forward Alec Butcher has been signed for the 2021-22 season.

Butcher heads to Rapid City for his third professional season. He appeared with the Wheeling Nailers for two seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20) recording 52 points (27g-25a) in 89 career games. In 2019-20, he had 33 points (15g-18a) over 53 games for the Nailers, ranking third on the team in both goals and points.

Prior to turning pro, Butcher played three seasons at Sacred Heart University before transferring to the University of Alaska-Anchorage for his senior season.
