Railers bring back Dudek

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed forward JD Dudek to a contract for the 2021-22 season. 

Dudek enters his third professional season after tallying 11 points (7g-4a) in 16 games for Bodens HF (HockeyEttan) in Sweden. The Auburn, New Hampshire native signed an American Hockey League contract with the Bridgeport Islanders on Aug. 29, 2019 and went on to play 27 games for Worcester in 2019-20, registering 12 points (2g-10a).

Prior to professional hockey, the 25-year-old spent four years at Boston College from 2015-19 where he accumulated 56 points (28g-28a) in 149 career games. During his time with the Eagles, he received the James E. Tiernan Award given to the team’s most improved player in 2018-19, won a Hockey East regular-season championship in 2017-18, and won a Beanpot Championship in 2015-16 while reaching the Frozen Four.

Dudek played one season in the United States Hockey League during the 2014-15 campaign. He split this time between the Dubuque Fighting Saints and the Chicago Steel registering 18 points (10g-8a) in 54 games.
