Former Rapid City Rush defenseman Dysin Mayo became the 702nd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday against Edmonton.

Mayo is the fourth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He posted 16 points (1g-15a) in 25 games with the Rush during the 2016-17 season.

A fifth-round selection (133rd overall) of the Coyotes in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Mayo has totaled 42 points (12g-30a) in 258 career American Hockey League games with Springfield and Tucson.
