Willman makes NHL debut

Willman makes NHL debut

Former Reading Royals' forward Max Willman became the 699th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday against Vancouver.

Willman is the first former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He posted 25 points (9g-16a) in 20 games with the Royals during the 2019-20 season.

A fifth-round selection (121st overall) of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Willman has posted 25 points (12g-13a) in 54 career games with Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.
