Florida Everblades' head coach Brad Ralph set a new ECHL record with his 56th career win in the Kelly Cup Playoffs in Friday's 4-3 overtime win at Newfoundland in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The win breaks a tie with 2009 ECHL Hall of Fame inductee John Brophy.
Ralph is 56-43 all-time in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, and his 99 career postseason games coached ranks third all-time, trailing only Matt Thomas (108) and Steve Martinson (104).
In nine seasons as an ECHL head coach with Florida and Idaho, Ralph has accumulated a career record of 408-166-61. He ranks eighth all-time on the career wins list and is 13th in games coached. He has won at least 39 games in each of his nine ECHL seasons, and five seasons of 45-plus wins.
