Stallard, Koepplinger return to Heartlanders

Stallard, Koepplinger return to Heartlanders

Coralville, Iowa –The Iowa Heartlanders, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild and American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, announced that forwards Cole Stallard and Josh Koepplinger have re-signed with the club for the 2022-23 season.

Stallard joined Iowa a few weeks into the 2021-22 campaign and produced 25 points (12g-13a) and 69 penalty minutes in 60 games. He produced 27 goals in the Southern Professional Hockey League level from 2019-21 before signing with Iowa. A graduate of SUNY-Plattsburgh, he tallied 67 points (39g-28a) in 104 games for the school and started his professional career in fall 2019. 

Koepplinger scored three goals for the Heartlanders in 12 games after signing with the cub in February from the SPHL where he had 14 points (6g-8a) in 14 games. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, he attended NCAA DIII Lawrence University from 2015-19.
