ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Solar Bears have agreed to terms with forward Karl El-Mir on a contract for the 2022-23 season. Orlando acquired El-Mir's rights in a trade with the Indy Fuel earlier in the offseason.
El-Mir has previously suited up for the Fuel, Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Norfolk Admirals. Last season, he combined for 32 points (13g-19a) in 57 games with Norfolk and Indy.
Prior to turning pro, the 26-year-old logged 62 points (28g-34a) in 118 games over four seasons with the University of Connecticut.
Before entering the college ranks, the native of Greenfield Park, Quebec played Junior A in the British Columbia Hockey League with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, and with the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
