K-Wings bring back Keefer

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that rookie forward David Keefer has been signed to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

Keefer returns after being signed by Kalamazoo out of Northern Michigan University following his senior season. He tallied 25 points (15g-10a) in 38 games as a senior and went on to record nine points (4g-5a) over his first nine games of professional experience.

The 25-year-old played parts of five seasons of college hockey for both Michigan State and Northern Michigan. Overall, he totaled 69 points (31g-38a) in 150 career games between the two schools. 

Prior to entering college, Keefer spent time in the United States Hockey League with Muskegon and Des Moines.
