PORTLAND, Maine – Defenseman Andrew Peski has re-signed with the Maine Mariners for the 2023-24 season. Peski enters his third season in Maine, after serving as an alternate captain in 2022-23.

A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Peski first came to the Mariners in the 2021-22 season, while on an American Hockey League contract with the Providence Bruins. He appeared in 44 games with the Maine that season, scoring 16 points (4g-12a). Peski returned to the Mariners on an ECHL contract for 2022-23, and played in 49 games, posting 16 points (3g-13a).

Peski has played 20 career games in the AHL with Providence and Springfield. In addition to his Mariners career, he’s seen ECHL action with the Jacksonville Icemen.

Prior to turning pro, Peski played four seasons at the University of North Dakota. He played junior hockey in the Central Canada Hockey League and United States Hockey League, winning a Clark Cup championship with the USHL’s Tri City Storm in 2016.
