NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Winnipeg Jets and American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, announced they have signed goaltender Déreck Baribeau to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

The 24-year-old spent last season in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey splitting time between Thetford and Jonquiére. In 2021-22, Baribeau played 15 games with the AHL's Iowa Wild and an additional six games with the Iowa Heartlanders.

The next season was followed by 21 appearances split between Quebec and Baie-Comeau. The 2019-20 campaign marked Baribeau’s first as a professional, playing in four games with the Iowa Wild. He also appeared in 15 ECHL games with Allen, posting a 9-2-0 record with two shutouts, found his stride with the Allen Americans (ECHL), suiting up for 15 games and going 9-2-0 with two shutouts.
