RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, announced the signing of forward Keltie Jeri-Leon for the 2023-24 season.

The Rush acquired Jeri-Leon's rights in a trade with Wheeling on Aug. 11. After beginning last season with the Maine Mariners, Jeri-Leon was traded to Wheeling in March of last season. Overall last season, he totaled 23 points (12g-11a) in 49 games with the two teams.

During his rookie season in 2021-22, Jeri-Leon had 35 points (19g–16a) in 57 games for Maine. His play led to a pair of American Hockey League call-ups that season with Providence and Abbotsford.

Jeri-Leon was born in Kelowna, British Columbia and played five seasons in the Western Hockey League. After breaking into the major junior ranks in 2016 with the Tri-City Americans, he was subsequently moved to Kamloops and then to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. After a 61-game stint with the Hurricanes, Jeri-Leon was shipped to the Seattle Thunderbirds. In 2019-20, he posted his best junior season with 41 points (23g-18a) while serving as an alternate captain the next season. In the entirety of this WHL career, Jeri-Leon played 250 games and totaled 110 points (58g-52a).
