Andreev, Gabriele share AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Year

The ECHL on Sunday announced that Kansas City Mavericks forward Max Andreev and Toledo Walleye defenseman Grant Gabriele are the co-recipients of the 2023-24 AMI Graphics Plus Performer of the Year award after finishing the season with a plus-minus rating of +34.
 
Four players were tied for third with a +30 rating – Idaho’s Wade Murphy along with Jacob Hayhurst, Ryan Jones and Jake McLaughlin of Kansas City.
 
Andreev posted an even or better rating in 53 of his 63 games, while earning a spot on the ECHL All-Rookie Team. He led all ECHL rookies, and was tied for fourth overall in the league, while his 73 points ranked third among first-year players and was 10th overall.
 
Gabriele was even or better in 36 of his 40 games while recording 15 points (1g-14a). He also saw action in five American Hockey League games with Hartford and Rochester.
