Lions re-sign Paquette

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, Quebec – The Trois-Rivières Lions, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, have re-signed defenseman Jacob Paquette for the 2025-26 season.

The 26-year-old recorded 21 points (4g-17a) in 69 regular-season games last season while finishing tied for sixth in the ECHL with a +32 rating.

Paquette added five points (1g-4a) in 21 postseason games on the way to capturing a Kelly Cup title.

Prior to turning pro, the Ottawa, Ontario native totaled 22 points (4g-18a) in 61 career games at Queens University and 84 points (10g-74a) in 297 career games in the Ontario Hockey League with Kingston, Niagara and Peterborough.
