Admirals bring back Shields

Norfolk, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Winnipeg Jets and American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, announced they have signed defenseman Jaden Shields to a contract for the 2025-26 season.

The 25-year-old is set to begin his second full season as a professional. He started last year with the Kalamazoo Wings, playing in nine games, before he was traded to the Admirals on Dec. 21, 2024. He went on to post 10 points (2g-8a) in 23 games with Norfolk..

Prior to turning pro, Shields played four seasons at Adrian College, where he accumulated a minimum of 21 points in each of his seasons with the Bulldogs.
