Americans agree to terms with Decker, Savoie

Americans agree to terms with Decker, Savoie

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans announced the signing of defenseman Jackson Decker and forward Carter Savoie to contracts for the 2025-26 season.

Decker joins the Americans after completing his collegiate career at Canisius College. He finished fourth on his team in scoring during the 2023-24 season with 17 points in 35 games. He was the alternate captain in 2024-25 putting 13 points in 34 games.

The resident of Algonquin, Illinois also played three seasons of junior hockey. He spent two seasons with Omaha of the United States Hockey League and one with Chippewa of the North American Hockey League.

Savoie has played in 171 professional hockey games, with 109 of those games coming with the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors, from 2022-24. He had 22 points in 63 games finishing as a +22 in the 2023-2024 season.

In 2024-2025 he led the Greenville Swamp Rabbits with 24 goals in 57 games.
