Webb returns to Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals and American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears, announced that defenseman Reilly Webb has agreed to terms for the 2025-26 season. 

Webb was acquired by the Stingrays in a trade with the Bloomington Bison last October and became one of the top defensemen for South Carolina, tallying 12 points (3g-9a) in 68 games and posting a +28, which was tied for sixth best amongst defensemen in the ECHL. 

Prior to turning pro, the Stoney Creek, Ontario native spent four years at Acadia University, where he was an alternate captain in the 2023-24 season. Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the sixth round (164th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Webb played in nearly 200 games in the Ontario Hockey League for the Saginaw Spirit and Hamilton Bulldogs from 2016-20.
