Bergmanis inks deal with Rush

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, announced the signing of Arvils Bergmanis for the 2025-26 season.

The 25-year-old has an immediate connection to Rapid City, having played for new Rush Head Coach Dave Smith at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a graduate student last season. Bergmanis previously spent three years at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He scored 46 points (10g-36a) in 134 career collegiate games.

A native of Riga, Latvia, Bergmanis has represented his home country for nine consecutive years, the last six for the main Latvian National Team. He has competed in three IIHF World Championships.
