ECHL mourns loss of MacLeod

ECHL mourns loss of MacLeod

The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL player Wade MacLeod, who passed away following a long battle with brain cancer at the age of 38.

MacLeod had 108 points (57g-51a) in 104 career ECHL games with Evansville (2012-13), Orlando (2013-14), Idaho (2014-15) and Allen (2016-17). He also saw extensive time in the American Hockey League with Springfield and Toronto, while playing overseas for teams in Germany and the United Kingdom.

He is survived by his wife, Karly, and their two daughters.
