ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday announced that Idaho’s Ty Pelton-Byce has been suspended for nine games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #27, Idaho at Tahoe, on Oct. 19.

Pelton-Byce is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of his major penalty and game misconduct for cross-checking at 9:07 of the second period.

Pelton-Byce will miss Idaho’s games vs. Utah (Oct. 24), at Utah (Oct. 25), vs. Tahoe (Oct. 29, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1), at Kansas City (Nov. 5, Nov. 7 and Nov. 8) and at Utah (Nov. 14).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
