Former Utah Grizzlies and Jacksonville Icemen defenseman Hunter Skinner became the 773rd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the St. Louis Blues on Friday against Philadelphia.

Skinner is the fifth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2025-26 season. He made his pro debut with Utah during the 2020-21 season, posting 17 points (7g-10a) in 26 games before adding eight points (3g-5a) in 22 games with Jacksonville during the 2022-23 season.

A fourth-round selection (112th overall) of the New York Rangers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Skinner has totaled 58 points (17g-41a) in 214 career games in the American Hockey League with Springfield and Hartford.
