Buteyets makes NHL debut

Former Tulsa Oilers' goaltender Vyacheslav Buteyets became the 775th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday against Utah.

Buteyets is the seventh former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2025-26 season. In 43 career appearances with the Oilers, including seven earlier this season, he is 23-16-3 with four shutouts, a 2.82 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909

A sixth-round selection (178th overall) of the Ducks in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Buteyets has seen action in five career games with San Diego of the American Hockey League where he is 1-3-0 with a 4.21 goals-against average and a save percentage of .858.
