ESTERO, Fla. – Craig Needham’s second goal of the game 3:41 into overtime gave the Florida Everblades a 2-1 win in Game 3 of the Kelly Cup Finals on Wednesday in front of 6,570 fans at Hertz Arena. Kansas City leads the series 2 games to 1.
For the third consecutive game, Kansas City scored first 2:55 into the second period. Nolan Sullivan fed Casey Carreau in the left-wing circle, and he one-timed a shot past Cam Johnson for his third goal of the playoffs.
Florida pulled even with a shorthanded tally at 13:09 of the third period. Oliver Chau’s shot from the left-wing circle was stopped by Jack LaFontaine, but Needham crashed the net and put the rebound home for his third postseason goal.
