GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils and American Hockey League’s Utica Comets, have announced that the club has re-signed forward Daniel Amesbury to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Amesbury, 35, returns to Adirondack after recording 149 penalty minutes in 23 games after being acquired by the Thunder from the Utah Grizzlies.
Prior to last season, the Maple Ridge, British Columbia native played in 33 games with the Kansas City Mavericks and had an assist and 171 penalty minutes. In a total of 70 ECHL games with Adirondack, Fort Wayne, Kansas City and Utah, Amesbury has two points and 379 penalty minutes.
Overall, in 252 games in the ECHL, Central Hockey League, SPHL and Federal Prospects Hockey League, Amesbury has 32 points (15g-17a) and 1,520 penalty minutes.
